It is inevitable that when you connect a caravan or trailer to any vehicle, you will be adding weight to the rear of that vehicle. This will impact the handling of your tow vehicle by lifting the front of the car/ SUV/ Ute offloading some of the weight from the front axel to the rear, causing instability & sway.
To address this issue, Hayman Reese Engineers developed a range of Weight Distribution Systems to compensate for the caravan’s ball weight, also allowing you to adjust the relationship between the caravan and the tow vehicle to ensure the front suspension of the tow vehicle is back to factory specifications and your caravan is riding level with equal weight on both axles.
